在巴塞尔公约支持下，巴塞尔公约亚太区域中心（亚洲太平洋地区危险废物管理培训与技术转让中心）组织实施了巴塞尔公约战略计划项目 ——“ 亚太地区电子废物进口和环境无害化管理调查研究 ” 。为了全面推进我国电子废物环境无害化管理，提高社会各界对电子废物科学认知和提高环境意识，在巴塞尔公约秘书处、加拿大政府和国家环境保护总局支持下，巴塞尔公约亚太区域中心拟定 于 2005 年 6 月 2 日（周四）上午 8:30 ～ 12:30 在北 京市金码大厦召开 “ 电子废物环境无害化管理国家研讨会 ”。
