To facilitate the ability of participated countries to identify and respect the controls of importing Asian countries applicable to UEEE and WEEE, this report was undertaken by Asia-Pacific Regional Centre for Hazardous Waste Management Training and Technology Transfer BCRC China) within the framework of the Basel Convention Partnership on the environmental sound management of E-waste in Asia-Pacific region which was launched in November 2005 in Tokyo, Japan.
