Mobile E-waste Recycling Equipment was manufactured in year 2012 with funded by research project fund from ministry and local government in China. Two pilot projects for typical e-waste (such as waste office equipment and waste mobiles) recycling and treatment, implemented by Professor Jinhui Li of Tsinghua University/ Executive Director of Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, and launched in the Environmental Protection Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region of China in 2012 and 2015.

The projects aimed to design and test the 2 mobile equipments according to the typical situation of e-waste in Macao, so as to solve the problem of dismantling and disposal of e-waste in Macao.
