From May 21 to 22, 2021, sponsored by China Association of Environmental Protection Industry Solid Waste Treatment and Utilization Division and coorganized by BCRC China, the "first phase of advanced seminar on solid waste policy and technology hot spots in 2021" was successfully held in Beijing. The seminar was attended by environmental protection business directors and relevant management and technical personnel from solid waste generation and operation units all over the country. Nearly 100 students who are engaged in the research of solid waste pollution control, treatment and disposal, and the formulation and revision of resource policy standards participated in the seminar. Professor Li Jinhui, executive director of the Asia Pacific Center, researcher Liu Lili, assistant director, and senior engineer Dong Qingyin, director of the regional waste management office, attended the seminar. Professor Li Jinhui, executive director of the Asia Pacific Center, delivered a speech at the opening of the seminar, and answered the students' questions on policy formulation, standard interpretation, enterprise management, technology development trend, etc. Senior engineer Dong Qingyin, director of the regional waste management office of the Asia Pacific Center, made a wonderful interpretation of the revision of the new solid waste law from three aspects: the revision process, the revision analysis and the impact of the revision. Liu Lili, assistant director of Asia Pacific Center, shared her views on the construction of solid waste industry standards under the construction of "zero-waste city".
