Project Introduction:Effectively held 3-day regional meeting for 87 participants to prepare for the 2019 meetings of the conferences of the Parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions. The meeting provided participants with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the organization of the work of the 2019 meetings of the conferences of the Parties. Participants were able to discuss and exchange information on the substantive issues at the agendas of the 2019 meetings and undertake regional consultations in preparations of the meetings. In addition, three back-to-back sessions on gender issues and on the other matters of relevance in the chemical and waste cluster pertaining to the Minamata Convention, and the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management were held.
