Project Introduction:

Objectives: The objective of this project is to organize regional activities for the development of the third regional monitoring report for Asia and the Pacific, in close consultation with the regional organization group for the GMP in Asia and the Pacific, and in accordance with the strategy for implementation of the third phase GMP in Asia and the Pacific.

Activities: Facilitate communication within the region in respect to the development of the third monitoring report; make arrangements for the necessary expert support to draft the regional monitoring report and facilitate its circulation for comments and endorsement within the region; organize a meeting of the regional organization group; ensure publishing of the endorsed regional monitoring report ; and enter into other such administrative and/or contractual arrangements as may be reasonably required for the effective completion of the responsibilities under the present Agreement, as agreed with BRS/UN Environment Programme.

Outcomes: Third regional monitoring report for Asia and the Pacific available for submission at the tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention in 2021.
