Project Introduction:The project involved two activities, one was to develop a preliminary data analysis report for PCDD/PCDF inventories, and the other one was to prepare an awareness-raising material aiming to enhance reporting rate and quality of PCDD/PCDF. The preliminary data analysis included collection and compilation of PCDD/PCDF release inventory data from national reports under the Stockholm Convention, National Implementation Plans and other sources such as government reports and peer-reviewed publications, then preparation of illustrations to support analysis, and finally analysis of inventory data. The awareness-raising material was developed mainly based on the tool-kit for identification and quantification of releases of UPOPs and problems revealed from the first activity. The material was also translated into Chinese.

Outcomes: Preliminary assessment report on releases from unintentional production for the effectiveness evaluation and relevant awareness raising material on releases from unintentional production.
