In the context of global climate change, achieving carbon neutrality is one of the important challenges all countries are facing. The recycling of renewable resources can not only solve the problem of solid waste treatment and resource shortage, but also be a strong support for achieving sustainable development and carbon neutrality. The sub-conference focuses on the theme of the coordinated development of carbon neutrality and resource recycling system. It will invite well-known young and middle-aged experts at home and abroad to make reports from different perspectives, such as relevant theories, methods and applications, and jointly discuss the collaborative development path and challenges of circular economy and low-carbon economy.

  • Huijuan DONG Associate Professor

    Shanghai JiaoTong University

    Huijuan Dong is an Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor from School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her research interests include low-carbon cities, solid waste recycling, circular economy & industrial ecology, resource and environmental management policies. She is a committee member of the Climate Change Branch of the Society of Environmental Sciences, Circular Economy Branch, Resource Flow and Management Committee. She is also an expert in the think tank of Chemicals and Waste Environmental Management of the Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, and an expert in the review of ecological environment projects in Shanghai. She presided over 8 National Natural Science Foundation projects or subprojects, including water special tasks of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and local horizontal projects. She mainly participated in more than 10 projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China and Ministry of Science and Technology. At present, she has published more than 90 papers in prestigious journal like iScience, Environmental Science& Technology, Water Research and other journals, including 6 highly cited papers. She published papers with SCI/SSCI total citations of 3461 times (Google total citations 5362 times). She participated in the compilation of 3 books. She is served as the editorial board of the journal Recycling and guest editor of Resources Conservation and Recycling. She won 5 national and provincial awards, and 2 pieces of advisory advice were approved by Shanghai Municipal People's Congress. She obtained 1 achievement application certificate, 2 software copyright, and applied for 1 invention patent.
