Global Development, Review and Update of National Implementation Plans (NIPs) under the Stockholm Convention (SC) on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)

 “Global Development, Review and Update of National Implementation Plans (NIPs) under the Stockholm Convention (SC) on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)” is a GEF full size project executed by BCRC China and UNEP in a cooperative way. The project is initiated in March 2022 and planned to be completed by 2026.
The main objective of the project is to facilitate the implementation of the Stockholm Convention in participating countries through the development, review and update of the NIPs and submission to the Conference of the Parties (COP) of the Convention. BCRC-SCRC China will support the Department of Hazardous Substance Management, Ministry of Environment, Cambodia to develop or update NIP and make it endorsed by national stakeholders and submitted to the SC Secretariat. Besides, the project will utilize the electronic toolkit to improve the quality of national reporting from Cambodia.
