Overview
The nineteenth meeting of the POPs Review Committee of the Stockholm Convention will take place from 9 to 13 October 2023 in Rome, Italy, back-to-back with the nineteenth meeting of the Chemical Review Committee of the Rotterdam Convention.
The pre-meetings are tentatively scheduled to take place online on 19 September 2023 from 13:00 (UTC+2).
The Committee will consider, among others:
- Draft risk profile for chlorpyrifos
- Draft risk management evaluation for chlorinated paraffins with carbon chain lengths in the range C14-17 and chlorination levels at or exceeding 45 per cent chlorine by weight
- Draft risk management evaluation for long-chain perfluorocarboxylic acids (PFCAs), their salts and related compounds
- Draft document on long-range environmental transport
- Indicative list of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), its salts and PFOA-related compounds
- Indicative list of perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), its salts and PFHxS-related compounds.
