Highlights: The first meeting of the regional organization groups and the global coordination group under the Stockholm Convention for the fourth global monitoring plan (GMP-4) is scheduled to take place online from 4 to 5 December 2023. The objectives of the meeting are as follows: (1) to review the outcomes of the eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention relevant to the work of the GMP; (2) to take note of the membership of the regional organization groups and the global coordination group; (3) to assess the progress of the regional organization groups' work; (4) to consider further development/revision of the guidance on the GMP for POPs; (5) to review UNEP/GEF projects and other capacity-building activities; (6) to discuss the implementation plan for the GMP-4; and (7) to explore cooperation with others, including the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee.
