Highlights: Annual meetings of the regional centres under the Basel and Stockholm conventions have been convened almost every year mostly face to face since 2008 in order to:

 

• Enhance cooperation and coordination between the regional centres of the Basel and Stockholm conventions;

• Promote and enhance synergies in delivery of technical assistance under the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions.

 

These meetings have been providing opportunity for the regional centres to exchange experiences and discuss amongst themselves, as well as with the Secretariat and other relevant partners including bilateral and multilateral donors, on issues as mandated by the relevant conferences of the Parties.
