This course introduces an integrated healthcare waste management model in the context of COVID-19, using Nepal's move towards a healthcare waste management practices as an example. The course describes specific experiences and challenges in Nepal to improve healthcare waste management practices at institutional level and to integrate focused segregation, treatment and disposal systems into municipal waste management systems at the sub-national level.
