As a preparatory step for the effectiveness evaluation of the Convention in 2022, a preliminary assessment report is to be drafted and reviewed by the effectiveness evaluation committee. The objective of this project is to support the intersessional work on the Toolkit and on BAT and BEP for the effectiveness evaluation, to develop a preliminary assessment report on Article 5 / Annex C matters on unintentional POPs (UPOPs) including PCDD/PCDF data at the global level, and a related awareness raising material to promote national reporting by the Parties. The project has been completed by the end of 2021.
