POPs Know How Much about Dioxins

Introduction

With the enhancement of the public's environmental awareness, Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), as a new emerging pollutants, gradually come into people's vision. It has the characteristics of persistence, bioaccumulation, long-distance migration and high biotoxicity. As one of the POPs, Dioxin has attracted more and more public attention. However, due to the limited access to environmental knowledge and the spread of unscientific opinions, it is easy to lead to misunderstanding, and cause unnecessary social contradictions. In order to enable the public to have a more scientific and comprehensive understanding of Dioxin, the staff who work on Dioxin for many years conducted a scientific review of Dioxin. summarized the research outputs over the years, and published this book.

The book consists of five chapters, which covers the basic knowledge, environment and human health risk, international/domestic control actions, degradation technology and life tips in plain language and with interesting illustrations.

The first chapter was written by Yangzhao Sun and Yuan Chen. The second chapter is written by Yuan Chen and Sifan Liu. The third chapter is written by Chang Su and Yangzhao Sun. The fourth chapter is written by Yajing Tian and Mingyu Qin.The fifth chapter is written by Chang Su and Yunhang Li. The book was compiled and checked by Yuan Chen and Chang Su, finalized by Liang Chen, Xuezhi Xiao and Jinhui Li.
