2020年6月9日，受生态环境部国际合作司委托，巴塞尔公约亚太区域中心(以下简称“亚太中心”)组织召开了中挪海洋垃圾视频会，双方环境部相关领导和专家参会。会上，双方代表重点分享了各国防治海洋塑料垃圾的政策和经验，并围绕国际法律框架下海洋垃圾领域的空白、海洋塑料垃圾和微塑料的新环境公约的可能要素以及联合国环境大会和特设工作组的前进方向等进行了讨论。亚太中心区域化学品管理室主任陈源博士参会并介绍了“中挪合作——海洋废塑料及微塑料管理能力建设项目”的进展情况，综合办公室主任谭全银也一同参加了会议。
On June 9, 2020, entrusted by the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China, Sino-Norwegian Marine Litter Virtual Meeting was successfully held by BCRC China. Delegates from the environment ministries of China and Norway attended the meeting.
At the meeting, delegates from both sides shared national policies and experiences in combating marine plastic waste, discussed possible elements of a new environmental convention on marine plastic waste and micro-plastics under the international legal framework and the direction of the UN Environment Assembly and AD Hoc Working Groups. Dr. Chen Yuan, chief of the Regional Chemicals Management Office of BCRC China, attended the meeting and introduced the progress of Sino-Norwegian cooperation project on capacity building for reducing plastic and microplastic pollution (SINOPLAST). Mr. Tan Quanyin, chief of the General Office of BCRC China, also attended the meeting.
