BCRC China invited to participate in the scheduling meeting of the standardised pilot work on plastic pollution control in two districts of Beijing Municipality
2023年1月10日，北京市发展和改革委员会组织召开“北京市两区塑料污染治理规范化试点工作调度会”，会议旨在进一步落实《关于支持密云区、延庆区开展塑料污染治理规范化试点的通知》各项任务目标，推动开展规范化试点相关工作。市生态环境局、市农业农村局、市市场监管局，密云区、延庆区相关部门，清华大学、北京工商大学、北京节能环保促进会、美团公司等单位相关人员共计40余人参加了会议。清华大学环境学院/巴塞尔公约亚太区域中心（以下简称“亚太中心”）区域化学品管理室主任陈源研究员、综合办公室主任谭全银助理研究员、区域化学品管理室项目主管柳思帆等相关人员参加了此次会议。会上，陈源研究员就密云区、延庆区地膜残留和水体微塑料监测在两区开展方案进行介绍。指出项目将依据两区特点，设计有代表性的监测方案，针对两区农田土壤地膜残留，两区内重点水库及河流中微塑料开展持续性监测。
On 10 January 2023, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform organized the ‘Pilot Scheduling Meeting for Plastic Pollution Control Standardisation in Two Districts of Beijing’, which aimed to further implement the tasks and objectives of the ‘Circular on the Support of Miyun and Yanqing Districts to Carry out the Pilot Standardisation of Plastic Pollution Control’, and to promote the implementation of the pilot work related to the standardisation. The meeting was attended by more than 40 participants from the Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Municipal Bureau of Market Supervision, the relevant departments of Miyun and Yanqing Districts, Tsinghua University, Beijing Technology and Business University, Beijing Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Promotion Association, and Meituan Company, among others. Chen Yuan, Chief of the Regional Chemicals Management Branch of Tsinghua University / Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific (BCRC China), Tan Quanyin, Assistant Researcher, Chief of the General Office, and Liu Sifan, Project Manager of the Regional Chemicals Management Branch, and other relevant personnel attended the meeting. At the meeting, Researcher Chen Yuan introduced the programme for monitoring of film residues and microplastics in water in Miyun and Yanqing Districts. It was pointed out that the project will design a representative monitoring programme based on the characteristics of the two districts, and carry out continuous monitoring of soil film residues in farmland and microplastics in key reservoirs and rivers in the two districts.
