2024年9月19日，生态环境部固体废物与化学品司主持召开“十五五”新污染物治理重点领域有关考虑专题讨论会，并以“持久性有机污染物、微塑料环境风险防控”为主要议题开展研讨。生态环境部对外合作与交流中心、规划院、固管中心、亚太中心和清华大学相关专家受邀参加。亚太中心区域化学品管理室主任陈源和同事赵维怡参加会议。陈源分享了国内外微塑料的科研和管控工作进展，分析了我国面临的治理挑战，并提出未来工作设想。亚太中心作为生态环境部微塑料专题的技术支撑单位，长期持续开展微塑料相关科研和国际管理进展研究。 

On September 19, 2024, the Department of Solid Waste and Chemicals of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment hosted a symposium on the consideration of key areas of emerging pollutant management in the 15th Five-Year Plan, and carried out a discussion on the main topic of "persistent organic pollutants and microplastics environmental risk prevention and Control". Experts from the Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning, China Solid Waste and Chemicals Management, BCRC China and Tsinghua University were invited to attend. Chen Yuan, Chief of the Regional Chemical Management Branch of the BCRC China, and his colleague Zhao Weiyi attended the meeting. Dr. Chen Yuan shared the progress of scientific research and control of microplastics at home and abroad, analyzed the governance challenges faced by China, and proposed future work ideas. As the technical support unit of the microplastics topic of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, BCRC China has continued to carry out research on microplastics related scientific research and international management progress for a long time.
