The AFD/SPREP Regional Solid Waste Management Initiative is a 4-year project (Oct 2011 – Sep 2015) funded by the Agence Française de Développement and implemented by SPREP in partnership with HYDEA S.r.l.
The overall goal of this 1 million Euro project is to improve solid waste management in the Pacific islands primarily through a structured programme of technical capacity building of Pacific islanders, and through the development of a used oil management programme across Pacific island countries and territories. Support will also be provided for developing in-country activity proposals for further funding.
