On February 20th, A new used clothing and accessory recycling program was launching in Union County, N.J., that aimed to reduce textile waste from being thrown out. Commissioners of the Union County Board have partnered with Helpsy to launch the recycling program. Helpsy is a New Jersey-based sustainable clothing and textile recycling company. The initiative is set to start in Plainfield, Scotch Plains, and Summit to reduce waste while supporting environmental sustainability and helping residents recycle unwanted clothing items. Helpsy strives to keep textiles out of landfills and promote environmentally friendly practices wherever possible. Helpsy has successfully kept 31 million pounds of clothing, shoes, and other items out of waste streams.
