On June 10, the towns of Loyalist and Stone Mills in Ontario, Canada, announced that they will be adopting a more efficient and convenient recycling system. Beginning July 1, 2025, the new recycling systems in both areas will be managed by two recycling companies, Circular Materials and Emterra Environmental. This change is an initiative by the Government of Ontario to increase recycling rates across the province, streamline the recycling process and ensure consistency of service. Local residents will not have to change their existing recycling habits. The new system will continue to accept the same recyclable materials and maintain the same collection frequency. This smooth transition is designed to minimize the impact on Residents’ daily lives.
