On January 12, Daram, a coastal town in Samar, improved its cleanup efforts after over 250 residents and volunteers cleared debris from the shorelines of three barangays. The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) led the activity, with participation from multi-agency and community groups in the town. The cleanup covered areas from Poblacion 1 to 3. About 345 kilograms of waste, equivalent to 115 sacks, was collected, consisting mainly of plastics, sachets, bottles, styrofoam, discarded fishing nets, and other residual materials.
