For urban residents, the e-waste collecting demonstration sites for e-waste have been established since 23rd September 2008 in the two communities in Suzhou, Xintai community and Xinsheng community, as one national green community and one provincial green community, respectively. The obsolete and used electronic products, such as waste computers, televisions, mobile phones, can be collected and stored temporarily in the demonstration sites. The special worker can carry out the activity of consultation and questionnaire investigation except for pick-up service to collect e-waste. Considering the cost and feasibility, the current measure of e-waste collection is taken by the exchange of the presents.
