BCRC China held “The meeting on the development of the E-waste collection partnership and experiences exchange of E-waste recovery” on October 25-27 2010 in Suzhou, China. The workshop was attended by 37 participants, in which 4 participants from Basel Convention Coordinating Centre for Asia and the Pacific, 8 experts from Solid Waste Management Centre of Suzhou, Tsinghua University, Institute of National Development and Reform Commission Industrial Development, Chung-Hua Institute For Economic Research, Taipei University of Technology CTCI Foundation, Taiwan Green Productivity Foundation respectively, 25 resource persons from E-waste treatment enterprises and E-product manufacturers in Suzhou and Taiwan, as DELL, Taipei Computer Association, Epson (Suzhou) Co., Ltd, TMC Metal Environmental Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd, Regeneration of green electricity, King Dragon Technology Engineering, C.T. Resource technology Co., Ltd, Fuji Xerox Eco-Manufacturing (Suzhou) Co., Ltd, Suzhou Super Dragon Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. TES-AMM (Suzhou) E-waste Solution Co., Ltd, Resource Comprehensive Utilization (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., 5R Network, Hui Ding Resource Management Co., Ltd etc. Through the meeting, the project for the development of a public private partnership for e-waste collection was launched formally in Suzhou city.
