The Regulations on the Administration of Recovery and Disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment

In order to standardize the collectionand treatment activities of the waste electrical electronic products, promote the comprehensive utilization of resources and development of circular economy, protect the environment, andsafeguard human health, according to the relevant provisionsof the “Cleaner Production Promotion Law of the People's Republic of China"and the “Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste”, “the Regulations on the Administration of Recovery and Disposal of Waste Electronic and Electronic Equipment” (the “Regulations” for short) was adopted inthe 23th executive meeting of the State Council on August 20^th ,2008, whichcame into force on January 1^st, 2011. The “Regulations”regulated the catalog management, multi-channel collection and centralized treatment system, qualification permit system and specifictreat fund systemfor waste electrical and electronic equipment.
