Considering that environmental pollution could be caused by E-waste in Macau, and in order to provide more high-quality live and tourist environment for Macau residents and tourists and protect ecological environment in Macau, Tsinghua University undertook the “863” project of " Prevention and Control Technology and Demonstration of Motor Vehicle Emissions and E-waste Pollution in Macau” in 2010 under the support of Ministry of Science and Technology. The research on E-waste includes e-waste management policy and treatment scheme, and typical e-waste treatment technology system integration and demonstration. In order to fully achieve harmless e-waste resource recycling in Macau, the demonstration project took waste computer and TV set as typical objects to study e-waste technology development, and have developed two sets of mobile e-waste treatment devices - waste display mobile treatment device and PCB mobile treatment device, which have been demonstrated in Macao incineration center.
