From 14 to 23 November, the Senior Training Workshop on Zero-waste City and Carbon Neutrality under "the Belt and Road Initiative" was successfully held. The course was organized by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and co-organized by Shanghai Polytechnic University and BCRC China.
The 10-day training course was attended by more than 30 government and BCRC Centres representatives from nearly 20 countries along the Belt and Road, including Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Cambodia. The training course invited renowned scholars from Tsinghua University, Nankai University, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and other universities, as well as experts from the Solid Waste and Chemical Management Technology Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE), Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center of MEE, the South China Institute of Environmental Science of MEE, and Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences.
This training activity provides a good platform for the exchange and construction of zero-waste cities and carbon neutral related fields in countries along the "Belt and Road", and further promotes the cooperation of countries along the route.
