The Series on Theory and Practice of “Zero-waste City” Construction was Launched

The Series on Theory and Practice of “Zero-waste City” Construction, edited by Jinhui Li, Professor of Tsinghua University and Executive Director of Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific(BCRC China), was officially launched in December 2025. This series compiles research findings and practical experience from leading experts in the field, comprising seven volumes: “Zero Waste” Concept and International Practices, Hazardous Waste Management towards “Zero Waste”, Industrial Solid Waste Management towards “Zero Waste”, Technologies and Practices for Agricultural Solid Waste Recycling, Explorations and Practices of Green Lifestyles towards “Zero Waste”, Technologies and Practices for Full-Chain Recycling of Municipal Solid Waste, and Research and Exploration on “Zero-waste City” Construction Models.
As a major achievement of “Zero-waste City” Construction during the 14th Five-Year Plan in China,the series closely aligned with Chinese practical needs for “Zero-waste city” construction. It systematically summarized advanced experiences and exemplary practices across seven key dimensions: international perspectives, hazardous waste governance, industrial solid waste management, agricultural solid waste recycling, green lifestyle advocacy, municipal solid waste management, and development models innovation. The series serves as a comprehensive reference work integrating both theoretical insights and practical guidance for government, research institutions, enterprises, and the general public.
