On May 15, In order to promote joint action in fostering sustainable development on zero waste,and strengthening local governance, building municipal capacities both in the Asia-Pacific region and the South America region through strengthening cooperation, BCRC China and ILZB (hereinafter referred to as “Parties”)hereby enter into this Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter referred to as “MOU”).
The Parties agree to cooperate in areas including,but not limited to,the following, subject to the availability of necessary resources and funds:
i.Cooperate on zero-waste initiatives implementation at allevels. Invite cities to join the International Zero-waste City Network and share best practices.Facilitate city-to-city cooperation and network linkages in Brazil and China,along with the wider Asia-Pacific region and South America region.
ii.Cooperate on capacity building and education. Co-organize workshops,training sessions, and webinars, and co-develop educational materials on zero-waste topics.
iii.Co-produce knowledge products and methodological frameworks on zero waste, including but not limited to white papers, reports, case studies,guidelines, standards, and performance indicators.
iv.Jointly disseminate and promote successful case studies, pilot projects, and good practices through agreed channels to enhance project visibility.
