Substance flow analysis and environmental releases of PBDEs in life cycle of automobiles
Characterization of the exchange of PBDEs in a subtropical paddy field of China: A significant inputs of PBDEs via air–foliage exchange
A group of researchers from China researched PBDEs existing in a subtropical paddy field of China.
Characterizing the distribution of selected PBDEs in soil, moss and reindeer dung at Ny-?lesund of the Arctic
A group of researchers from China investigated the the distribution of selected PBDEs in soil, moss and reindeer
dung at Ny-?lesund of the Arctic.
Food Web Bioaccumulation Model for Resident Killer Whales from the Northeastern Pacific Ocean as a Tool for the Derivation of PBDE-Sediment Quality Guidelines
A group of researchers from Canada has investigated a food web bioaccumulation model for the resident whales from Northern Canada.
Human exposure to PBDE and critical evaluation of health hazards
This paper is focused on reviewing the current status of PBDEs in the environment, as well as the critical adverse health effects based on the recent studies on the toxic effects of PBDEs.
PBDEs and other POPs in urban birds of prey partly explained by trophic level and carbon source
Researchers from Canada made a study on PBDEs and other POPs existence in urban birds of prey.
Human exposure to PBDE and critical evaluation of health hazards
Michigan’s bald eagles full of flame retardants
Michigan’s bald eagles are among the most contaminated birds on the planet when it comes to phased-out flame retardant chemicals in their livers, according to new research.
Characterization of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) and hydroxylated and methoxylated PBDEs in soils and plants from an e-waste area, China
In order to characterize polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), and hydroxylated and methoxylated PBDEs (OH-PBDEs and MeO-PBDEs) in the soil–plant system, soil and plant samples were collected from an e-waste recycling area in China.
Formation of PBDD/F from PBDE in electronic waste in recycling processes and under simulated extruding conditions
In this study, the contents of critical BFRs, i.e. polybrominated diphenyl ethers, and highly toxic PBDD/Fs were measured in WEEE material from Switzerland and South Africa. The formation of PBDD/Fs has been observed in two South African recycling processes and under controlled laboratory conditions.
