The Project for the development of a public private partnership for e-waste collection was funded by the secretariat of Basel Convention, and implemented by Basel Convention Coordinating Centre for Asia and the Pacific (BCRC China). It is a program to help government and stakeholders more efficiently address the growing problem with priority waste stream. It aims at fully implementing relevant national laws and regulations on e-waste and reducing the pollution of e-waste. The program, involving electronic and electric product generation enterprises, users, sellers, and waste electronic and electric product recycling and treatment enterprises, promotes waste streams to qualified treatment operations.
