Prof. Dr. Sadhan Kumar Ghosh, Professor & Ex- Head, mechanical engineering Dept., Founder Chief-coordinator, Centre for Sustainable Development & Resource Efficiency Management (Formerly Centre for QMS founded in 1995) at Jadavpur University, and Ex-Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology. He is a renowned personality on Waste Management, Circular Economy, Green Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, SDG, Waste Co-processing, Plastics & Electronic Waste management & recycling, management system standards (ISO), TQM and SME Sustainability. He served as the Director, CBWE, Ministry of Labour and Employment, India. He served Larsen & Toubro Ltd previous to the Gramophone Co. of India Ltd. 

Prof Ghosh is the founder Chairman of the IconSWM-CE; President of the International Society of Waste Management, Air and Water (ISWMAW), IPLA Global Secretariat and the chairman of the Indian Congress on Quality, Environment, Energy and Safety Management Systems (ICQESMS). He received several awards in India and foreign countries including the Distinguished Visiting Fellowship by the Royal Academy of Engineering. He is the PI of 30 research projects funding agencies includes, UKIERI, Horizon 2020, UGC, DST, Georgia Govt, Hungary Govt, Royal Academy, IGES & APO Japan, CPC Taiwan, etc, and international consultant/expert of UNCRD UN/DESA, IGES, SACEP, APO, CPC Taiwan, etc. He serves as member of national and international scientific/technical/Govt committees in several countries including in ISO. 

He received Indian patent on “eco-friendly plastics recycling machine and the process there of” [Patent no.202532 dated 02/03/2007] and India and Bangladesh patent “Automatic High Speed Jute Ribboning Machine” [Patent no. 1005146 dated 17/02/2014].  He wrote ten books, 45 edited volumes, 230 national and international articles and book chapters and Associate Editor of IJMCWM & WM Frontier. He authored the first book in the globe on Co-processing – “Sustainable Management of Waste through coprocessing” published on 21/11/2021 by Springer Nature. He formulated and implemented the “Policy on Anti Plagiarism, Jadavpur University, 2019”.
