Dr. Zhang, PhD supervisor, awarded the National Natural Science Foundation-Outstanding Youth Foundation. His research aims at the fields of air pollution control. In the past five years, he has published more than 50 articles in SCI-indexed journals such as Angew. Chem. Int. Edit. and Environ. Sci. Technol., including 7 ESI highly cited and hot papers. He received several awards for his research excellence, including the China Patent Excellence Award and the first prize of Hebei Province Natural Science Award. He was appointed as an expert in the preparation of the Ministry of Science and Technology's "Carbon Neutral Technology Development Roadmap", and as a reviewer of the “IPCC AR6 Working Group III: Climate Change 2022 Mitigation of Climate Change - Summary For Policymakers”. He is a member of the Climate Change Working Committee of Chinese Society for Sustainable Development. Prof. Zhang currently also serves as a guest editor of Gas Sci. and Eng., and as a member of the editorial board of Chinese Chem.
