Rainer Stegmann

Professor
Rainer Stegmann is a retired Professor and former director of the Institute of Waste Resources Management of the Hamburg University of Technology, Germany. He has been director of the R3C research center at the NTU in Singapore and visiting professor at several internal Universities. His main research interests are waste management concepts, biological waste treatment, land?lling and contaminated sites. He co-authored more than 300 papers and 6 international books. Prof. Stegmann was president of IWWG the International Waste Working Group and is co-chairman of several international conferences. In 2019 he received his honorable doctorate from the Technical University of Crete, Greece.
