Organic solid waste treatment and resource/energy recycling

Time:

Address:

Exponential population growth, economic development and rapid urbanization have led to a dramatic increase in energy consumption and organic solid waste production. There is an urgent need to construct an integrated management system for organic solid waste disposal with a focus on resource/energy recovery. The sub-forum aims to discuss the environmental impact of various organic solid waste disposal technologies, technical advantages and challenges of organic solid waste resource/energy recovery. Through a detailed discussion and assessment of the frontier areas of organic solid waste resource/energy recovery, it will assist decision makers in more actively formulating guiding policies that contribute to resource and energy recovery and maximize environmental benefits under the new situation of mandatory waste recycling, as well as the achievement of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.
