The 15th International Conference on Waste Management and Technology Announcement
March 21-24, 2020, Beijing, China
Venue: Pullman Beijing South, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area
The International Conference on Waste Management and Technology (ICWMT) is an important platform for experts and officials to discuss scientific problems related to solid waste management, exchange knowledge, and seek innovative solutions. Initiated by the Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific and approved by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China, ICWMT has been held 14 times since its inaugural meeting in 2005. Each year, ICWMT attracts participants from government, top research institutes, prestigious universities and industrial enterprises both within China and abroad.
ICWMT 15 will be held in Beijing, China from March 21st to 24th, 2020. The theme of this year’s conference is “To Build a Zero-waste City Systematically”. Throughout the conference, prominent researchers and government officials will give keynote speeches on pressing issues of solid waste management, chemicals, and circular economy. ICWMT 15 provides an excellent opportunity for participants from industry and academia to keep up-to-date with the latest trends in solid waste management.

Call for Papers
ICWMT 15 welcomes papers and presentations related to the following topics:
Hazardous waste management and risk prevention;
Biomass waste treatment and utilization as resources and energy;
Household refuse classification and disposal technology;
Integrated utilization of industrial solid waste;
Construction waste disposal and utilization as resource and energy;
E-waste recycling and associated pollution control;
Management of chemicals and related regional policy;
Remediation and regulation of contaminated sites;
Circular economy and urban mining.

Paper Selection
Please submit the abstracts and full papers on the conference website before the corresponding deadlines, listed above. Accepted papers will be complied into the “Proceedings of the Fifteenth International Conference on Waste Management and Technology”. Selected outstanding papers will be recommended for submission to related journals, including Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering; Waste Management & Research；Chinese Journal of Environmental Management. Information about additional journals for submission will be updated in the future. We look forward to your contributions.
Posters and Oral Presentations
Authors are encouraged to present posters during the poster display session or make oral presentations of their research during the parallel sessions of the conference. Conference participants’ feedback on the posters will partially impact the selection of outstanding papers. The authors of the selected outstanding papers will be presented with awards by the members of the steering committee.
