Prevention and control of solid and hazardous waste pollution is an important part of ecological civilization construction, it is also an important part of the tough battle of pollution prevention and control. It is of great significance for ecological civilization construction, public health and ecological security to innovate technological systems of solid and hazardous waste disposal and resource recovery. With the continuous deepening of China 14th Five-Year Plan for solid waste pollution prevention and control goals and related policies, this forum will be held under the guidance of the Solid Waste Treatment and Utilization Committee of China Environmental Protection Industry Association. The innovative development ideas of solid and hazardous waste disposal and resource recycling technology will be discussed from the aspects of technological innovation, risk prevention and control, industrial development and policy standards, combined with the "National Waste-Free City Pilot Construction" and "Carbon Peak Carbon Neutrality Requirements".

    Chen Yang, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Resources and Environment, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Executive Deputy Director of the National Environmental Protection and Mercury Pollution Prevention and Control Engineering Technology Center. Research directions: disposal of solid waste and hazardous waste, resource utilization and secondary pollution control, advancing high energy physics technology, application of environmentally friendly functional materials in mercury, dioxins and other fields. Presided over more than 40 projects or sub-project such as Key R&D Programs from Ministry of Science and Technology , International Convention Implementation, Environmental Protection Public Welfare, Natural Science Foundation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has won 15 provincial and ministerial level science technology awards and individual awards, applied for more than 40 patents, compiled and released more than 20 technical policies and standards, published more than 15 monographs, and published more than 100 papers.
