Prof. Qingliang ZHAO is working at the School of Environment, Harbin Institute of Technology. His main research interests are solid waste treatment and resource utilization, wastewater and landfill leachate treatment. He has been primarily responsible for and involved in more than 20 national projects. He has published more than 350 academic papers and 8 monographs/textbooks. He has received 6 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards and 17 national invention patents. He is a part-time environmental assessment expert at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, a member of the Drainage Committee of the Water Industry Branch of the China Civil Engineering Society, and an expert at the Chemicals and Waste Environmental Management Think Tank of Basel Convention Regional Center for Asia and the Pacific.
