Lili LIU, Ph.D., Assistant Director/Researcher, Tsinghua University/Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, serves as Deputy Secretary General of the Solid Waste Treatment and Recycling Committee of the China Environmental Protection Industry Association, member of the First National Expert Committee on Hazardous Waste Identification, and member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese Society for Environmental Science's Committee on Collaborative Governance for the Reduction of Pollution and Carbon Emissions, among others. Mainly engaged in research on solid waste management, treatment and disposal technologies, the construction of "Zero-waste city" and carbon emission assessment, and promotes the development of standards related to carbon emission from solid waste resource recycling.
