Jie FU

Professor
Jie Fu is a professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the leader of the Environmental Behavior and Control technology team of emerging pollutants. He is mainly engaged in the study of biofloc microecosystem and its interaction with environmental pollutants. This includes the researching the influence of environmental pollutants on the formation and physicochemical properties of biofloc, as well as exploring the influence and mechanism of environmental pollutants on the biofloc microbial community. Additionally, he examines the interface behavior of environmental pollutants on the biofloc surface. In the past five years, he has presided over key projects such as the Major Research Program of the National Natural Science Foundation and the Outstanding Young People Fund of Hubei Province. As the first or corresponding author, he has published 102 SCI papers (47 in the last five years) in authoritative journals in the field of Environmental ecology such as Environmental Science & Technology and Water Research, 1 ESI and 7 highly cited papers. H index 49; Editor-in-chief or co-editor of 4 English books. He won the MDPI (Multi-disciplinary Digital Publishing Organization) 2021 Outstanding Contribution Award (2021), the First China Chemistry Express Environmental Chemistry Young Scientist Award (2019), and the Third Prize of Natural Science of Hubei Province (2019).He has been selected in the world's Top 2% of Top Scientists list (published jointly by Stanford University and Elsevier for three consecutive years from 2021 to 2023, selected fields: Environmental discipline), Hubei Province "Chutian Scholars" Program (2021), Shanghai "Pujiang Talent" Program (2017); Invited to deliver keynote report at ICON 2021 (2021).
