Shenxu Bao is a Second Grade Professor and PhD Supervisor. He holds the title of Discipline Chief Professor at Wuhan University of Technology, and is recognized as a National High Level Talent (Distinguished Professor), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), and the Chief Scientist of a National Science and Technology Major Project. His honors include being named a Hubei Provincial Expert with Outstanding Contributions, receiving the Hubei May 1st Labor Medal, and being listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists.
He is currently the Dean of the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering at Wuhan University of Technology. He also serves on the Standing Committee of the Party Committee at Wuhan University of Science and Technology (on secondment), as the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Green Utilization of Key Non Metallic Mineral Resources of the Ministry of Education, and as the Director of the Key Laboratory for Development and Application of Key Mineral Materials in China’s Non Metallic Mining Industry.
Professor Bao has led more than 20 research projects, including National Science and Technology Major Projects and Key Programs under the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Major Research Plan. His achievements include 9 first prize awards at the provincial/ministerial level and 2 National Science and Technology Awards (as a key contributor). He has authored over 200 academic papers and holds 55 authorized invention patents.
Additionally, he holds several concurrent positions, including Executive Director of the China Non Metallic Minerals Industry Association, Director of the China Nonferrous Metals Society, Member of the Professional Committee on Clean Utilization of Vanadium Resources of the China Nonferrous Metals Society, Director of the Fluorite Professional Committee of the China Non Metallic Minerals Industry Association, and Member of the Expert Committee of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance.
