Zhenfeng Bian, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, serves as Chairman of the Shanghai Rare Earth Society and Director of the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Rare Earth Functional Materials. He has long been engaged in research on photocatalytic pollution control and resource recovery, and has published over 100 SCI-indexed papers as first/corresponding author in journals such as Nature Sustainability and Nature Chemical Engineering. He holds 19 authorized invention patents in China, 2 PCT applications, and one patent each in the US, Japan, and Europe. Professor Bian has led projects including the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the Excellent Young Scientists Fund, and General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has been recognized as Shanghai “Eastern Scholar” Distinguished Professor, Dawn Scholar, Outstanding Academic Leader, and Eastern Talent Leading Professional. He has received the China Patent Excellence Award and the Shanghai Natural Science First Prize. His developed “Green Photocatalytic Technology for Precious Metal Recovery” has been included in the Shanghai Green and Low-Carbon Advanced Technology Directory and listed as a case of ecological environment technology achievement transformation.
