His research mainly focuses on biomass energy, resource utilization of organic solid waste, and environmental pollution control. He holds concurrent positions as Member of the New Energy Expert Group, Expert Committee of China Energy Society, Expert of the Chemicals and Waste Environmental Management Think Tank, Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, Expert of Industrial Green Development of Xizang Autonomous Region, Editorial Board Member of Industrial Water Treatment, Deputy Director of the Carbon Neutrality Special Committee, Tianjin Renewable Energy Society, Deputy Director of Tianjin Biomass Gas and Fuel Technology Engineering Center, and Science and Technology Commissioner of Tianjin. He has published more than 100 high-level research papers and obtained over 10 authorized patents. He has presided over 1 project of the “Solid Waste Resource Utilization” Special Program under the National Key R&D Program, 1 task and several sub-tasks of National Key R&D Program Projects, 2 sub-tasks of National Science and Technology Support Program, 5 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 3 provincial and ministerial-level projects, and 8 horizontal projects. He has also won the Provincial and Ministerial-level Science and Technology Progress Award (First Class and Second Class) for many times.
