Shicheng Zhang, Professor of the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at Fudan University, is a recipient of the "Shanghai Oriental Elite (Top-tier)" title and Director of the Shanghai Professional and Technical Service Platform for Organic Solid Waste Pollution Control and Resource Utilization. He also serves as a Distinguished Member of the Academic Committee of the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences, and Associate Editor of academic journals including Environmental Engineering Research and npj Materials Sustainability, among other roles.
His main research focuses on organic solid waste pollution control and resource recycling. He has published over 200 papers in academic journals such as PNAS, Environmental Science & Technology (EST), and Water Research; and holds more than 20 authorized invention patents. He has won honors and awards including the Second Prize of Natural Science from the Ministry of Education, the Second Prize of Natural Science of Shanghai, and the First Prize of Shanghai Teaching Achievements. He is listed among the World's Top 2% Scientists and the World's Highly Cited Scientists (Top 1%).
