Huijuan Dong is a Tenure Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor from School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. She has been awarded for the Shanghai Oriental Talent Young Scholars Program. Her research interests include low-carbon cities, solid waste recycling, circular economy & industrial ecology, resource & environmental management policies. She is an expert in the think tank of Chemicals and Waste Environmental Management of the Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, and an expert in the Global Climate Innovation Coalition. She is also a committee member of the China Society of Environmental Sciences, China Society of Natural Resources, and China Systems Engineering Society. She has presided over 10 projects or subprojects, funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, and Shanghai Natural Science Foundation projects. Up to now, she has published more than 120 articles in prestigious journals like Nature Communications, iScience, Environmental Science & Technology, Resources Conservation and Recycling, with 7 being highly cited papers. Her total Google citation reaches more than 7500 times, and she has been honored with the Rising Star of Science Award from 2022-2024. She is served as the editorial board of the journal Recycling and guest editor of Resources Conservation and Recycling. She won 5 provincial awards, and 1 international Graedel Prize for the best paper. 2 pieces of advisory advice were approved by Shanghai Municipal People's Congress. She obtained 1 achievement application certificate, 4 software copyright, and applied for 2 invention patents.
