Xiaoming Liu, Professor and PhD supervisor at University of Science and Technology Beijing, is a “Chinese National Talent” and PI of the National Science and Technology Major Project of China. He has been engaged in the efficient utilization of industrial solid wastes and the preparation of ecological functional materials, the extraction of valuable elements from solid wastes such as metallurgical slag, tailings, coal combustion by-products, as well as their synergistic reuse technologies. He has led over 50 projects, published more than 180 papers, including 12 ESI high-cited papers, and holds 40 national invention patents. Three of his achievements have been evaluated "international leading" levels and awarded several prestigious awards.
