Zhengang Liu is a Professor at RCEES, Chinese Academy of Sciences and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is Winner of “100-Talents Program” of Chinese Academy of Sciences and appointed as Deputy Director of Laboratory of Solid Waste Treatment and Recycling of RCEES, Member of the Expert Committee of Z-park Green Strategic Alliance of Industrial Technology Innovation for Environment Governance, National Straw Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, Expert in Chemical and Waste Environmental Management Think Tank, editor board member of Sustainable Environment and Invited Editor of Chinese Journal of Environmental Engineering. His research focuses on value-added utilization of solid wastes including conversion of waste biomass to highly-value chemicals and biofuels, detoxification and utilization of hazardous solid wastes, technology R&D of industrial wastes, etc. He has published more than 100 SCI papers in many esteemed journals including Applied catalysis B: Environmental, Environmental Science and Technology, etc. He has authorized 39 invention patents, and participated in the compilation of 6 solid waste-related monographs. He has awarded First Prize in Science and Technology of China Association of Circular Economy and some scientific research achievements have been applied in practical application.
