Sun Xuefeng, Design Director and Dean of the Engineering Design Institute at Zhejiang Construction Co., Ltd. of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division (Professorate Senior Engineer). He is a National First-Class Registered Structural Engineer, a member of the Shanghai Standardization Technical Committee for Survey and Design, a member of the Urban Old Block Renovation Committee of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies, Executive Vice President of the Green Building Branch of Zhejiang Green Building Association, and a Science and Technology Expert for both Zhejiang Province and the China Construction Enterprise Association.
He has long been engaged in green, low-carbon construction and operation throughout the building lifecycle. He has undertaken 2 projects under the National Key R&D Program of China during the "13th Five-Year Plan" and has led multiple provincial and ministerial-level research projects. As a chief compiler or co-compiler, he contributed to several industry and local standards, including the Technical Specification for Hot-Rolled Ribbed High-Strength Steel Bars, Technical Specification for Cast-in-Place Lightweight Internal Partition Walls, and Technical Specification for Ultra-Long Seamless Concrete Structure Construction. He holds over 100 national patents, has published dozens of papers, and authored 4 monographs, including Theory and Technical Strategy of Low-Carbon Construction and Construction Techniques and Method Manual for Low-Energy Envelope Structures in the Yangtze River Basin. He has received more than ten provincial and ministerial awards, including the Shanghai May 1st Labor Medal and a Second Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.
