HuaBo Duan Professor

Dr. HuaBo Duan, Associate Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), is a scholar supported by the Hubei Provincial "Chutian Scholar" Program. He received his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University and completed his postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His primary research focuses on resource circulation and carbon emission assessment. He has led over 30 research projects, including key projects under the National Key R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As the first author or corresponding author, he has published numerous high-level academic papers in leading environmental journals such as *Nature Cities*, *Nature Astronomy*, *Nature Geoscience*, *Nature Communications* sub-journals, and *One Earth*. He has received the Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment three times, and was awarded the 15th Fok Ying Tung Young Teacher Award. He also serves as the Deputy Secretary-General/Member of the Circular Economy Branch of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences.
