Doctor of Science, Second-Class Professor and PhD Supervisor, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Geological Exploration from Southwest University of Science and Technology, PhD in Mineralogy from China University of Geosciences, and finished postdoctoral research at Laurentian University in Canada; he once served as President and Party Committee Secretary of Southwest University of Science and Technology, and now acts as Director of the Key Laboratory of Solid Waste Treatment and Resource Reutilization of the Ministry of Education and Director of the National Technology Innovation Center for Nuclear Environmental Safety, he is a selected member of the National "Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talents Project", a National Young and Middle-Aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions, an Academic and Technical Leader of Sichuan Province, a recipient of the Special Government Allowance of the State Council and listed in the World's Top 2% Scientists, who has long been committed to the research on basic theories and engineering applications in the fields of environmental mineralogy, solid waste resource utilization and nuclear environmental safety, and presided over a number of national scientific research projects including the National Key R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
